To reduce our impact on the environment, we audit the materials and methods we use to make our products, taking responsibility for the entire lifecycle of our products and examining how we use resources at our buildings and facilities through our holistic approach.

Patagonia engages in a range of due diligence activities to promote fair labor practices and ensure good working conditions in our factories. Over 50,000 workers have benefited from our commitment to the Fair Trade Certified™ program.

Patagonia will promote the concept that everyone must learn to consume less and use resources far more productively – as well as innovate as quickly and ingeniously as possible to reduce adverse human impact on the natural systems that support all life.

How We Make Your Product?

At Patagonia, we are constantly evaluating new materials and re-evaluating existing ones in our quest to make the best product. Environmental assessment is a key component of our strategy and drives which materials we should celebrate, which ones we should use with caution, and which materials we should avoid altogether.

Materials

Around 72% of our materials are made from recycled fibers. Switching to recycled allowed us to avoid 11,500 metric tons of CO²e, enough to power 1,300 homes for one year.
